Amazon Kindle

January 16th, 2009

I resisted as long as I could. $399 seemed like more money than I should spend on an electronic book. Even a perpetual reader hesitates to spend money sometimes. Then two things happened: Amazon lowered the price to $359 and my wife gave me $500 for my Birthday. I made the jump!

That was just over six months ago. So how do I like it? What are my reactions? Do I regret my purchase?

I love it! And here’s why:

Hello World!

November 8th, 2008

The default post name for WordPress seemed appropriate for my first post on my first blog. So, Hello World!

I hope to share my love for reading with everyone and stimulate discussions with my comments.  I really am a perpetual reader. It may be books, magazines, my Kindle, or the Web, but I always seem to be reading. My plan is to include links to interesting things I’ve read, make any comments that come to mind and solicit blog readers’ opinions. I may not always post complete reviews of books, but I’ll share my thoughts on what I’ve read. I also hope to comment on reading and purchasing in all formats (paper, Kindle, Web, etc.).

Please join in the conversation if you have comments on what I’ve written or if you have your own opinions of my subjects.

Thanks for stopping by,

Glenn
